.
Ethiopia (known to I&I as Ithiopia) is situated in the Horn of Africa. It borders Sudan in the north-west, Kenya in the south, Djibouti and Somalia in the east and Eritrea in the north-east. In 1991 Ithiopia had a population of 49,883,000 according to a UN estimate.

About one third are Semitic in origin, that is the Amharas and the Tigrayans, and the rest are mostly Oromos, (about 40% of population), Somalis and Afar. The capital of modern Ithiopia is Addis Abeba which means new flower.

Ithiopia is the cradle of civilization. This has been long realised by those who overstand the Creation and even scientists now admit that the birthplace of mankind is in this incient and mystical land.
Ithiopia is one of the first countries mentioned in the Bible
 Genesis Chapter 2:13.

The Rock Churches at Lalibela

The 12th century rock churches at Lalibela were hewn straight out of the bedrock
"Then God sent and angel to carry King Lalibela to heaven and God showed him the churches made from a single rock. The number of the churches were ten and each of separate pattern and architecture"
  from an Ithiopian manuscript

The Almighty Jah appeared to King Lalibela in a dream and instructed him to cause the churches to be built and to establish his capital city at Lalibela. The churches and their treasures including ornamental crosses, illustrated Bibles and illustrated manuscripts are looked after by priests.

"First he (Lalibela) made a church like that which God had shown him, of beautiful work, and with wonderful art which it is impossible to achieve but through the wisdom of God ................ Then he made another standing by itself, in the shape of a cross, as the angels had shown him when he measured the ground; and he called this Beta Giyorgis. And Thus he finished making ten churches"  from Father Francisco Alvares  account of the 16th Century Portuguese Embassy to Ithiopia.

St Mary of Zion Church at Aksum
 and the chapel which houses
The Ark of the Covenant were built in 1951 by
HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY EMPEROR HAILE SELASSIE I

When asked about the power of the Ark the priest who guards it says that it is was used to raise the stelae.  Some of these are over 2,000 years old.
They were built by
"....the Ark and the celestial fire.  Men alone could never have done such a thing"
from the "Sign and the Seal" by Graham Hancock
