On Wednesday 8 May, Dub Me Always is pleased to present another sound system special, when Nick Manasseh and DJ Eat Records join host DJ David Katz for a night of roots reggae, foundation dancehall and original productions.
Launching his sound system in Shepherd’s Bush in 1985, Manasseh formed Sound Iration with Mr Scruff and began producing original music, launching a Kiss FM show soon after. Forming the Riz label in 1991, he has since worked with countless artists, including Earl 16, Admiral Tibet, Jahmali, Rod Taylor and Vin Gordon, among many others, and he remains a close associate of Brother Culture.
Plus, in the warm-up section, a special guest appearance by DJ Eat Records of NYC. Running a series of record stalls and playing out regularly all over NYC and beyond, DJ Eat Records will drop some serious, one-away tune. There will also be a special tribute to the recently-departed Jamaican deejay, Jah Stitch. Expect roots reggae, rare dubplates and exclusive productions, delivered with devotion and love. Come early and stay late!
