On Wednesday 10 October, Dub Me Always presents another sound system special, when Lloyd ‘Musclehead’ Francis of the legendary Saxon sound system joins host DJ David Katz for a night of original reggae vinyl and exclusive dub plates.
Formed in Lewisham in 1976, Saxon was the first British sound system to beat Jamaican sounds on their home turf and to feature at Reggae Sunsplash; they reigned supreme in the 80s, 90s, and beyond. Saxon have enjoyed a residency at Boisdale Canary Wharf in recent years and were featured at the Reggae Geel and Rototom Sunsplash festivals last summer. There is only one Musclehead…what will he pull out of the bag?
