Grant awarded to Nyabinghi Order Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Greetings:
Some news from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The Nyahbinghi Order of SVG has received a US 38,000 dollars grant from the Global Environmental Facility UNDP Small grants programme. The funds are for a project to combat soil erosion in the Peters Hope Area of SVG and to reduce organic pollutants by the use of organic fertilizers and integrated pest management. The Group gives thanks to the following: the local GEF Coordinator Hayden Billingy, Ministry of Agriculture SVG, Dr. Kadamawe Knife of UWI Mona, and WINFA and FAIRTRADE SVG. It is the hoped that this project will be one of many for the Order as it makes it’s contribution to sustainable development in the island state and the Caribbean region.
