The Mighty Patriarch Papa Sala has joined the Ancestors | announcement by EWF

Please be informed of the passing of the Mighty Patriarch Papa Sala aka Solomon Wolfe-Marcus Selassie who was in his 94th year & transcended peacefully on Sunday evening January 15th around 6:30pm local Ethiopian time.  His transition was peaceful at home in Shashemane when it was discovered that he had stopped breathing and there was no pulse.

Papa Sala had been to Hospitals in Shashamane and Awassa the week before following a fall at home that left him sluggish on one side and delirious at some times.  The hospitals discharged him after confirming that all was well except for inflammation on his lungs.

Papa Sala will be remembered as the Rastaman that received from His Imperial Majesty hand the sub-division of the Shashamane Land grant amongst the Pioneer EWF RasTafarI Settlers in June 1970 and also received visits from then acting Prime Minister Hugh Shearer and soon to be elected P. M. Michael Manley with assistant P.J. Paterson also in 1969.

Papa Sala is also responsible for maintaining the legal entity of the EWF Inc. here in Ethiopia where the Land Grant was awarded to the organ in 1948 which is so very important in the repatriation of the Black Peoples of the World as being the precedent set to commence the EWF-Government-to-Governments issue of the return to Africa.   He is also to be recognised & remembered as the obedient Son of His Imperial Majesty, a Rastaman who stand firm in the Ethiopian World Federation Incorporated from the time of 1955 when Mamie Richardson brought Charters for EWF Locals from His Imperial Majesty direct to Rasta in Jamaica as the governmental way to achieve Repatriation and Reparations.

Papa Sala was touched by the hands of His Imperial Majesty and addressed as “my Son”.

Go forward might warrior Mark-us-Selassie, you have done a great work as a mighty Shepherd amongst the Flock and will be remembered with dignity and awe for your mighty works, may your soul rest in peace.  RasTafarI Liveth.
