Dear friends,

You will all be aware of the devastation wrecked upon certain parts of the Caribbean recently, in particular the tiny island of Grenada. Of the 100,000 inhabitants, almost ALL, some 80-90,000 people are either homeless or at the very least roofless!! The island has been laterally wiped out by hurricane Ivan. The only thing left standing are the people! our Mothers , Fathers, Brothers and Sisters.

It has been estimated that some US$ 1000,000,000 will be required to rebuild Grenada!! Where will this money come from? United States ? Germany? United Kingdom? I don't know. What I do know is that right now, this very moment, the people of Grenada are struggling to survive with little water, NO food, NO electricity, Major flooding and Mass homelessness!! Any of you who have been keeping up with the news will know that this is NO exaggeration.

YOU & I can do our little bit to help! I am asking that we visit our cupboards for tinned and dry foods, those able to afford a little bit more, purchase a few extra items at the supermarket this weekend or visit the Cash & Carry / Wholesalers. Lots of us have tools in our sheds or attics that we will never use, these simple tools will help rebuild a country. However little it may appear to you, someone in Grenada will receive it with open arms. Each and every one us has something we can contribute. Fill a box or bag for immediate dispatch to Grenada via the Grenada Disaster Relief Fund. Look in your cupboards , garden sheds, attic! Don't let those forgotten items go to waste! Pack them right away and drop your box of to any one of the Receiving Stations listed below.

Relief for the Elders : an appeal from Empress Zebulon

Greetings in the Ivine name of His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Haile Selassie I and Her Imperial Majesty Empress Mennen.

Rastafari Love and Oneness. It has been brought to I attention that extensive damages was done to the area in Jamaica where Scotts Pass and Pitfour Binghi grounds are located, as result of the pounding given by hurricane Ivan. Therefore our reverred Elders are in dire need of funds, foodstuff and clothing.

Ras Ivi is presently in NY and should be returning to Jamaica on the 20th of Sept. We in the NY area are now putting the word out to raise funds, etc. to send to JA with the brethren. Our aim is to also pack a barrel and send it of asap. We need ones and ones to put their hands and heart together and immediately respond to the needs of our Rasta family anywhere in the Caribbean that they are experiencing the ill-effects of this hurricane. IT IS INDEED TIME FOR ONES AND ONES TO REALLY PRACTICE THE TENETS OF THE NYAHBINGHI CREED AND NOT JUST PAY LIP SERVICE TO IT.

The I's them can make contact with Sistah Norma in Montego Bay at 876 940 4301 or Sistah Janet at 876 962 4019/876 774 9502. Or you could send funds to the Elders Acct. at the National Commercial Bank, May Pen Clarendon, J.W. I. The acct.# is 564012041. This is the original acct. which was set up and being monitored by Ras Ivi, Sistah Janet, Sistah Norma and other reputable ones.

Please the sooner we respond to this call is the quicker we will be able to help our Rasta Family.

May Jah guide and protect each and everyone. One Perfect Love.
