Trinidad & Tobago Rastafari United (TTRU)
Peace Corps & Work Study Trip.

Greetings to I n I Rastafari Family,

The TTRU is in the process of building a free school program for Rastafari and other individuals in Trinidad. I n I are of the opinion that a constructive and comprehensive black social and economic theory needs to be developed for the education of I n I children. The question is, how long are we going to have I n I intellect and education  be judged according to the European standards of Harvard and Oxford and all the other Babylonian misinformation institutions? We have to ask ourselves, are we not the people who gave the world it’s first educational facilities, universities and civilizations? Did we not produce great and renowned inventors and theorists? Are we not the people who designed and constructed the great empires of the African continent? So, we have to ask ourselves why in hell are we not working to produce the kind of education and socio-economic machine that would sustain us into the future? It is for this reason, the TTRU has been working on developing just the kind of structure that will be used to educate I n I along spiritual, physical and economic lines. We don’t think it is at all necessary to continue helping the Babylonians develop the next generation of slave labor by educating our children with the system “they” have designed for us.

We have seen that recently in Trinidad where a young Rasta sister was removed from school because she had locks. That event triggered a whole lot of mishaps in some people’s lives, while some of the leading people in Trinidad made unsavory comments about Rasta livity. Others had their homes fire bombed. It was an unhappy and uncalled for action, but the fact remains that Rasta need to overstand their actions in the educational field, Rasta say “we don’t want no devil philosophy, give us the teaching of His Majesty” and we make comments about the Catholics and the Pope being the devil and the likes. We complain about the education system and then we run and offer our children like sacrificial lambs to the Babylonian educational system saying “ here is my child, please educate her/him”

The TTRU has developed an idea of a Rastafari Peace Corps and we are working on the idea of a work/ study program. We are also planning a trip to Trinidad in August of 2005. We are inviting all Rastafari Idren and Sistren who are interested, to go to the “Contact Us” page at our website (http://www.aiyamar.com) and fill out the necessary form to be considered for the trip. Regardless of how many people are interested, the trip will go down to the Caribbean. We own the land that houses the TTRU, so there is no fee for room and board.

Further information will be posted on I n I website

If ones are interested go to TTRU click on Contact Us, then click on Click here for details and fill in the form

TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO RASTAFARI UNITED

ABOUT I -N- I

I -n- I greet you in the name of our father Qedamawi Haile I Selassie I Abbajanhoi.

The Trinidad and Tobago Rastafari United was formed in 1999 to meet the growing need for Rastafari Inity in Trinidad & Tobago. Due to the misrepresentation and the misinformation of Trinidad Rastafari as an active contributor to the development of the global Rastafari family, we decided to come forward and develop a comprehensive educational theory that resulted in the purchase of a parcel of land in Trinidad as the first step.

Our project is based on the research of colonial education and it's effect on the Rastafari family and the multi-ethnic population of Trinidad & Tobago. As a result, this has led us to initiate a work/study program.

The unification of the Rastafari Family in Trinidad & Tobago is momentarily our primary concern. We have recognized that mis - education and misinformation has created a tremendous amount of disunity and falsehood amongst the population. Colonization has reaped its fruits and left us with the bare tree.

The removal of the effects of colonization has become paramount in the unification process. If we continue to evaluate our progress and education based on the format of the European educational standards, we will continue to find ourselves being in the position of beggars. As mis -educated and misinformed beggars, we will continue to generate underpaid and undereducated slave labor disguised as free people.

It is with the attitude of freedom of thought and expression and the right to equality and justice under universal natural law that we go into this project. For 500 years, we have been subjected to misguided and deliberate misinformation by Europeans and their African and Indian lackeys. They in turn have "sold" us into mental slavery. Yet once again, as in the words of our idren The Right Honorable Robert Nester Marley "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds," these words ring true for Africans at home and abroad. His Imperial Majesty Qedamawi Haile Selassie Abbajanhoi has said "Until all is equal under the eyes of the Almighty God and Until Africa is free, then the world will not be free." So what better reason do we need to unite!

Peace and blessings always
Ras Ravin-I
TTRU US Coordinator.
