INI wish to bring to all ones attention what items would be required for ones traveling, and what to keep in mind before reaching St. Kitts: First, in order to make everyone at ease, the Organizing Committee as decided to ask for a participation from all Ilagates (children not included). Each delegates will pay on arrival at the headquarters a registration fee of 40,00 US$ per adult. In return the organizing committee and working members will provide shelter, food & drinks and transportation to all places and venues where the conference will be hosted. The headquarters are located at the Old Road Community Center in St.Kitts, it is comprise of Women and Men separate quarters, both quarters having individual bathing facilities and toilets at disposal, likewise a general kitchen and a main hall are there to accommodate everybody needs. All ones must walk with their personal sheet and pillow; those who are willing have also the opportunity to bring their tents and camp in the Community Center Yard. Nearby at a ten minutes walk from the Head-Quarters, ones could enjoy one of St. Kitts mountain rivers.

A news from Shashamane

Greetings in the name of the Most High God, H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie I....each and every time
This sis received a call from one of InI elders this light. There is an immediate need on Shashamane for assistance at this time. Several months ago, an elder of 80 odd years old and his queen, aged 54, repatriated to the land...and the most amazing thing happened......the queen found herself with youth.......RASTAFAR I that ones can be fruitful at any age. There is much need though, as the elder and his queen were quite unprepared for this occurrence at this time of life. There are physical needs as well as monetary needs.
The queen’s needs are as any expectant mother’s needs are. The youth is due in September of this year.....the I needs everything for a youth.....clothes, blankets, cloth diapers, natural toiletries for herself and the youth, nursing pads, material for clothes, footsie sleepers (as the nights are well cool in the land), full length sleepers with the tie at the bottom, all sorts of baby clothes, queen size sheets and pillowcases, herbs, all sorts of things seen. And the family needs monetary strength too, if one and ones are able to forward that.
This sis has the account # for the queen’s draw at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia. Should ones wish to send a strength this sis will provide account through e-mail. InI also have the physical addie for the family should ones want to forward a package as a strength. It has been told to this sis that it is better to send packages of 5 pounds at a time, and to send said packages via registered mail with an invoice inside stating what was sent. This insures that customs does not tamper with the package. There is so much poverty in the land that often, if packages are large, they will be tampered with along the way and sometimes when they reach, there is barely anything left of said package upon arrival.
If ones want to send a strength, please feel free to contact inI at Irijah2001@yahoo.com for the mailing and account information.
Bless
Selassie I
everytime
Sis Irijah

Let InI Build on the Foundation A message to the global Ras TafarI family: by Ras Iration I.

Haile Selassie I is glorious. His teachings are supremely illuminating and his conduct is most exemplary. Eternally esteemed are all who become aware, appreciative and emulating of his I-vinity.

Praises to H. I. M. and H. I. M. Haile Selassie I and Empress Manen.

Hail Iloved Ingels

Ras Tafari love.

The ancestors laid the foundation and the offsprings built thereon, reshaping and expanding as needs, inspirations and energies demand and provide. Should the offsprings attempt to build independent of the foundation, their labor becomes futile.

Among InI greatest and esteemed ancestors, is the blessed memory of the most honorable Leonard Percival Howell. Through Brother Howell’s shared inspiration, agitations and organizing abilities, InI received the revelation of Ras Tafari, Haile Selassie I.

June 16th is Brother Howell’s recorded Earth day. This day which should be very high on InI celebrative agenda.

As InI celebrate and commemorate the coming of the Irit of truth who brought forth the light of Ras Tafari to InI awareness, it is vital that InI honestly assess InI selves as a community as to what extent InI have been building on that immortal foundation.

Brother Howell agitated, organized, implemented and administered a sovereign community of InI with InI independent institutions. A political, economic, judicial, social and religious system, neither aligned with nor subservient to colonial Britain.

The history of Jamaica records that “The Ras Tafarian community called Pinnacle under the leadership of Leonard Howell, existed as a government within a government.” This was so until the colonial armed forces invaded and destroyed it in the late 1950s’.

Since the destruction of Pinnacle around 1958, the Ras Tafari population has not attempted to restore itself as a community along the organizational and administrative lines of Pinnacle. Throughout the Caribbean there is no evidence to my knowledge, of Ras Tafari attempting to build upon and expand the ancestral foundation of authority and sovereignty. InI have since developed numerous religious doctrinal groupings, camps and associations devoid of the essentials of an organized and centralized community affording collective security.

Ras Tafari Ingels, I humbly suggest that InI realize and utilize the inherent power in InI and the possibilities within InI grasp. The rain that didn’t fall yesterday is still needed and welcomed today. Behold, today InI have the population, skills, education and privilege not only to develop and administer ethnic communities but also to govern nations.

I pray InI will begin to acknowledge InI selves as the builders and administrators of the new heaven and new earth of the revelations. InI must see InI selves being the youths who have come of age to share in the responsibilities of government as InI father Haile Selassie I declared. I ask, how long must Africa await its creators? InI distinguished messenger brother Bob asked, “ How long will they kill the prophets while we stand aside and look?”

Iloved, this is InI shift to contribute to the building of InI collective security. Let InI work diligently, constructively and cooperatively. Let InI build on the foundation.

Ras Tafari love.

A poem from one of one of the first members of Leonard Howell's early congregation in Jamaica in honor of Howell's inspirational leadership.

Rastafari Blessings Ras Iration I,

All honor and glory in the name of the King Almighty, Emperor Haile Selassie I. Let Jah be praised Itinually.

I-n-I give thanks for Ras Iration's thoughtful meditation upon the Honorable Leonard Perceval Howell. It is more than timely, and--coupled with the mystic guidance of the Father--it has compelled I to share something that just re-surfaced (literally yesterday) from the IRAP materials collected by Sister Carole and I some years ago. It is a poem by one of the first members of Leonard Howell's early congregation in Jamaica in honor of Howell's inspirational leadership. As I noted, Jah placed this in front of I just yesterday on the eve of Brother Howell's earthstrong so I dutifully follow His command to share it with all.

I am sending it both as an attachment and placing it below:

In Honor of le Premier Rastafari, Leonard Perceval Howell

Long may you live to guide us
   The people of your race
Press onward to the victory
   Our cause is no disgrace
Haile Selassie guides you
   His voice you will obey
Omega is the watchword
We sure shall win the day
With you to lead us forward
   Our sorrows soon shall cease
Ethiopia's children
Shall dwell at home in peace
Long may you live to guide us
   To Ethiopia's shore
Long live the Lion of Judah
   Foes tremble at his roar

Anglo Ethiopian Society launch website

Just to let you know that the Anglo-Ethiopian Society in the UK has just got its website up and running ( www.anglo-ethiopian.org  ).

Most of the pages on the site are taken from articles and reviews previously published in our News File, a newsletter for members.

There are one or two articles that might be of interest to you, in particular a photo gallery of pictures of Haile Selassie's Coronation in 1930 (which includes a link to your site).

There is also a photo gallery of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Haile Selassie's visit to Bath held at Fairfield House plus an 'Occasional Paper' on his exile in Britain during the war years.

Hope you find the site of some interest (the photo galleries are in the 'Other' section of the website). I hope some of the Coronation Photographs are new to you.

Best regards

John Mellors
