Harar Third Mission To
Africa Trod October 28-November 21, 2009
The active working group of trod
participants is a symbol of unity, skill, order, and zeal.
The intention of this historic trod is
a trinityXtrinity expression:
Nine Aims:
1)To address the intellectual
property rights of Rastafari
2)To coordinate an effective working relationship with the Crown
Council and the Crown Prince
3)To guarantee the rights and citizenship of repatriated Rastafari in
Ethiopia and Africa.
4)To promote the infrastructure fundraising capacity through Operation
Reggae Funding
5)To further the two Africa missions Brother Douglas Mack was a part
of working towards government to government repatriation
6)To facilitate a Rastafari African Groundation November 4-7 in
Shashemene
7)To organize and centralize the creation of an international
Rastafari database in support of the Global Rastafari Secretariat
8)To assist in the preservation of the birthplace of Haile Selassie
The First in Harar
9)To work in cooperation with any and all Rastafari organizing bodies
to achieve the one voice of representation that governments,
philanthropists, and supporters need to have trust in their
investement of energy and financial resources.
Tentative Itinerary:
Day 1 October 28 Depart for
Ethiopia from respective origins
Day 2 October 29 Addis Ababa stay Yonas Hotel
Day 3 October 30 Addis meet with Crown Prince ZaraYacob, Visit
Fluja Hotsprings and Trinity Church (Yonas Hotel)
Day 4 Saturday October 31 Addis meet with Ras and pro Ras
individuals, tour National Musuem, University, and Palace
Day 5 November 1 Travel to Shashemene early by way of Lake
Langano. Visit EWF, 12 Tribes, Bobo, and Binghi HQs. Settle into hotel
accommodations.
Day 6 November 2 Ises
Day 7 November 3 Visit Wando Gennet HIM Church and Hotsprings…Ises
Day 8 November 4 Beginning of Rastafari African Groundation
Day 9 November 5 Rastafari African Groundation
Day 10 November 6 Rastafari African Groundation
Day 11 November 7 Seal up Rastafari African Groundation with
Ises
Day 12 November 8 Return to Addis
Day 13 Monday November 9 Meeting with Ethiopian Government
Officials
Day 14 November 10 Meeting with Ethiopian Government Officials
Day 15 November 11 Trod To Harar
Day 16 November 11 Harar visit local government responsible for
HIM birth site
Day 17 November 12 Harar visit local government responsible for
HIM birth site
Day 18 November 13 Leave Harar for Nazaret
Day 19 November 14 Leave Nazaret for Addis
Day 20 Sunday November 15 Addis meet with Crown Prince and
appropriate ones again
Day 21 Monday November 16 Sealing up Government connections
Day 22 Tuesday November 17th Official Trod Seals Up…ones and
ones travel on historic route…
Pre-liminary Action Items
1)Contact Ras Ibo & Mama Desta by
phone for a reasoning on intention of the trod
2)Contact Ethiopian Airlines for support
3)Contact the Crown Council and set meeting (Liontree only available in
DC November 18th and forward
4)Pull all potential participants into an email group to communicate and
then set a telephone conference
5)Get EADUMC official stand on this trod
6)Contact Pankhurst
7)Develop a budget for the trod
8)Ask for bios from each participant
9)Reason on what elements of personnel are missing on the trod and
recommend the appropriate additions
10)Seek governmental support from JA and Ethiopia
