News from Jamaica: Ras Tafari Development : sent to the Ites Zine by Ras Sela

Greetings Rastafari Family:

Give thanks and praises to the Most I Emperor Haile Selassie I for InI wisdom during reasoning.

At the assembly of the Nyahbinghi Order, Aug. 7 at Scott Pass, several resolutions were ratified by the Ancient council with the advise of the administrative Council and members of the local and international Nyahbinghi Order.

The resolutions will surely set the foundation for the economic development of the Nyahbinghi family in Jamaica.

The Ancient of days bless the Youth Council with the authority, empowering the Youths to develop Scott Pass as a Rastafari Ecological Village and to identify land in order to implement organic agriculture. Proposals that were presented to the order by the Youth Council member derived from the Rastafari Hispanic Summit - Panama.

The youths informed the gathering that ones and ones will contact the University Rastafari students, lecturers and professor, the agriculture institutions of Jamaica, Rastafari youths island-wide, especially, the Marley youths to join assist and participate in the efforts to manifest the projects shown above. The Youth Council will be meeting on Aug. 14, Scott Pass, 2pm, in order to coordinate strategies.

High points during the reasoning were the selection of the new administrative officers, selection of a committee to meet with MP M. Henry concerning reparation/repatriation, acknowledgement of Rastafari Faith and Hola Herd by the JA Government and the legal registration of an NGO. The gathering agreed that an NGO be registered to develop the Order economic front. Suggestions were made that the title of the NGO must concur with developmental projects. Four (4) titles were provide and they are as follow:

  1. Universal Rastafari Improvement Association
  2. Inversal Rastafari Development connections
  3. United Rastafari Creative Fronts
  4. Rastafari International Theocracy Assembly

The Nyahbinghi Order as a title will not be registered, however, the Ancient and Administrative Councils will serve as monitoring body of the developments.

As the reasoning continue, Bongo Spear only Rastafari person known to InI with United Nation (U.N.) Consultant status, from Barbados, stepped up the reasoning blocking sounds that Rastafari should register at the U. N. under a statehood applicant. Spear presented an U. N application to InI for the Rastafari family to considered by all houses, mansions and individuals.

The bredrin stated that the U. N. recognize Rastafari as a TRADITION under the charter of the Caribbean Conference of Churches. Confirming the wordsounds of Spear, he read excerpts from a publication titled:

At the Cross Roads African Caribbean Religion and Christianity
A Publication of the Caribbean Conference of Churches (C. C. C.)
Edited by Burton Sankeralli
with an Introduction by Rev. Dr. George Mulraim, Pg. 204 - 213

The Publication can be obtain via:
Caribbean Conference of Churches

St. James, Trinidad & Tobago, W.I

Bongo Spear also stated that his skills, experience, knowledge and contacts with the U. N., African Union (A. U.) and the Royal Family are at the disposal of InI family for InI global development as a nation. However, he claimed that the legal and wise minds of Rastafari are needed to forward InI to statehood status at the U. N. and A. U.

The U. N. provides Bongo Spear with a Calendar of U.N. events on an annual basis. He feels that representatives should attend the upcoming event sponsor by the Commission on human Rights, working group of experts on people of African descent [economic & social council decision 2003/246] - schedule for September/October 1week in Geneva. Bongo Spear will provide information on this trod on his return to Barbados this weekend.

"Our task...is to improve the economic lot of all African people, to raise them to a standard of living comparable to that enjoyed in the most highly developed regions of the world today. This is a task and challenge which must be met. And because this touches all of Us, all must labour and work for the success in this endeavor." H.I.M. on Development

For more information on statehood status (U.N.) contact Bongo Spear at 246-267-4619 cell. Email address will be forwared on his return to Barbados.

It seems that InI need to organize a gathering on a collective effort to deal with InI global status around 2007. Venues Africa, Brazil, Jamaica. etc...

To all concern: the Ancient, Administrative, Youth and Women Councils and members at the reasoning agreed that at this juncture in InI Istory, mechanisms must be instituted to deal with accusations of wrong doings by members of the house on both local and international levels. And transparency must be the order of the day on all of the house economic activities. Aug. 21 is schedule to reason on the above at Ocho Rios Tabernacle, 2pm.

Detail information will be provide by the Administrative Council every month, since the house meet twice a month. 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month. Ones can contact the house at nyabinghiadmin_anc@hotmail.com

I humbly provide these simple wordsounds to keep the nation inform about InI development while trodding in Ja. I hope it serves ones well for the betterment of InI future nation. Shall be returning to Panama around Sep. 10.

Emperor Haile Selassie I and Empress Menen I guide and protect Ones and ones.

Raspectfully,
Ras Sela.
